Tim Gee work comprises of individually thrown vessels using Audrey Blackman porcelain, surfaces are modified using a water etching technique with shellac used as a resist. The surface of the vessel is repeatedly etched until a suitable surface is achieved or the piece falls apart, whichever comes first. Bisque fired to 1000 C, sanded, then glazed and fired to 1300 C in an electric kiln. Interiors are glazed with my own recipe transparent and subtly coloured glazes.
