Richard Glass uses an eclectic mix of traditional and modern techniques to
produce highly individual, intricate designs that cannot be made by
mass-produced manufacturing. Specializing in organic pieces and
sculptural
forms, his inspiration comes from the landscapes, seascapes, and
coastlines around him in Devon.
He was born in Plymouth in 1978, studied fine art at Southampton Institute, and went on to study for an honors degree in Applied Art at Plymouth College of Art and Design, specializing in ceramics and glass.
Following a stint as a production glassmaker at Dartington Crystal. He studied for a master's Degree in glass design at Sunderland University finally setting up his glass studio, now based in Bovey Tracey in Devon.
