Rob Fogell
Rob
Fogell trained as a sculptor conservator from 1986-1994 working on classical
and modern stone sculpture. The excellent
training and experiences from working on some of the most interesting sculpture
in the world from ancient
Greek collections to Barbara Hepworth's modern forms has helped shape his
current sculptural work.
After completing a teaching certificate with Warwick University he is now
teaching 3D Design and modular certificates in sculpture
at Leicester University and Northampton College. Rob's work is influenced
by natural forms and geometric patterns. The work
is developed from various sources sympathetic towards abstract minimalism.
The simplicity of rhythmic form is intended
to enhance the light consequently drawing the viewer to touch the sculpture.
The sculpture can be placed in an interior or exterior location depending
on size and
materials. Various limestones, marbles and steels are used.
